Construction Alert Baltimore City is closing both eastbound lanes on Orleans Street from Broadway to Wolfe Street, beginning Tuesday, July 6, to install underground electrical ducts. To detour, you’ll have to turn left on Broadway, right on Monument, right on Wolfe and back to Orleans. This closure will last for approximately two weeks. Pilot Study of the Safety and Efficacy of Digitoxin to Suppress Inflammation in Cystic Fibrosis Trial Is Now Enrolling The digitoxin trial is now enrolling patients aged 18 years and up in patients with CF. Digitoxin is an oral medication used in Europe for treatment of heart failure. It is known to decrease inflammation in the airways. A description of the study can be obtained by clicking here. Prediction by Ultrasound of the Risk of Hepatic Cirrhosis in Cystic Fibrosis (PUSH) is Now Enrolling Children Aged 3-12 Years Old The purpose of this research study is to learn more about liver disease in people with cystic fibrosis (CF) using a test called a liver ultrasound. The liver ultrasound test may help to diagnose and treat liver disease in people with CF. In this 5-year study, participants will have labwork and complete questionnaires once a year and have a liver ultrasound test every two years. PTC124 is an oral medication designed to help patients with nonsense CFTR mutations. This would be anyone with the letter ‘X’ in their mutation name.
