FDA Approves Kalydeco (VX-770) 
Kalydeco has been approved for children 6 years and older with at least one G551D mutation. This is the first drug that acts directly on the defective CFTR protein that causes CF. Click here for more information.

It Is that Time of Year Again
Get your flu shot to stay healthy this winter. influenza vaccinations are available at your primary care physician's office or in CF Clinic. Everyone over 6 months old and not allergic to eggs should get vaccinated even if they do not have CF.

Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., announced it has submitted an application to the U.S. FDA for a potential new CF therapy, VX-770 — under its new proposed trade name KALYDECO.

Now Enrolling for the MPEX 209 Research Study
(MP-376, an inhaled levofloxacin solution vs. inhaled tobramycin)
We are now enrolling CF patients, ages 12 and up with chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa lung infection, who have received multiple previous courses of an inhaled tobramycin. For more information click here.
