Medical Therapy
If your liver is not working correctly, you may need to take medicine to help bile flow out from your liver. Bile helps to break down fats. In patients with liver problems, fat-soluble vitamin levels need to be watched closely.

Liver Transplantation
Patients with very bad liver disease may need a liver transplant. This works best for patients with mild lung disease. Patients who have undergone successful liver transplants usually are healthier and have a better quality of life.
