Vertex Pharmaceuticals Releases Results of Studies of Lumacaftor (VX-809) and Ivacaftor

Vertex Pharmaceutials announces exciting news on the results of two phase 3 studies of lumacaftor (VX-809) in combination with ivacaftor in people with cystic fibrosis who have 2 copies of the F508del mutation. People treated with the two drugs had a statistically significant  improvement in FEV1 compared to those receiving placebo. Read more.
